If you installed 1Password 6 or earlier from the Mac App Store
1Password 6 won't automatically update to 1Password 7 if you installed it from the Mac App Store. 1Password 7 is available on the Mac App Store as a separate download. When you open 1Password 7 the first time, it will convert older vaults to the newer OPVault format. Converting the vault will make a copy of it in a new location, and you'll need to configure your other devices to sync with the new vault.
